NL # 17 – What Makes a Good Leader. How to Achieve Your Goals. How to Make Decisions without Fear.
Thought #1 – What Makes a Good Leader.
Leaders are born AND made. But to be a good leader you have to be intentional in everything you do and with every decision you make.
Focus on maximizing your strengths and on surrounding yourself with people who make up for your weaknesses.
Thought #2 – How to Achieve Your Goals.
Set your moral compass, chart your course, and you will achieve your goals.
Thought #3 – How to Make a Decision without Fear.
Examining all possible perspectives before you decide on something can be helpful, but it can also slow down your decision-making process. If you are honest, most times when you delay in making a decision, it’s because you are afraid that someone will disagree with it.
But that’s ok, because not everyone will agree with you.
Instead, put aside your fears by focusing on the good that will come from your decision, and the effect it will have. Accept that you won’t make everyone happy, but don’t let it prevent you from making the decision that has to be made.
On the other hand, it may be necessary to consider the opinions of others who don’t agree with you. Because if their opinions are relevant, and you have made a wrong decision, you can use that information to learn from your mistakes.
