NL #6 – Relax. Acknowledge Your Failure. Refocus.
Thought #1 – Relax.
When was the last time you took a vacation to relax and recoup? If it has been a while, why not take some time to decrease the stress and anxiety that often comes along with constantly being on the go.
Thought #2 – Acknowledge Your Failure.
When you experience failure, you can do one of two things: acknowledge it or deny it.
Everyone will fail at some thing at some point in their lives, so failing is not the problem. Not acknowledging failure is the problem because if you don’t, it will take control of your life and paralyze you.
So be willing to accept failure and move on. But don’t let it define you because failing at something does not mean that you are a failure.
Thought #3 – Refocus.
Refocus your efforts after experiencing failure. This may mean several different things. For instance, you may need to start over or just make a few adjustments to your original plan. This period of refocusing can include self-reflection and self-motivation and can give you the courage to start again.
Quote for the Week
Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.
